Abstract
The integration of cognitive biases into pilot training through Competency-Based Training (CBT) aims to enhance awareness of human limitations. By linking this approach to the TEM (Threat and Error Management) model, flight crews learn to anticipate threats and detect errors, including those caused by cognitive biases. The goal is to enable pilots to develop their own adaptive strategies. This also calls for an evolution in management practices—toward a more collaborative style—and a new pilot profile focused on cooperation, self-analysis, and the use of feedback (REX).
