Abstract

Fibroids, adenomyosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and endometriosis are frequent benign gynecological pathologies, causing symptoms and infertility. New techniques are being developed as an alternative to surgery for their management. Transvaginal or laparoscopic radiofrequency is used to treat myomas and adenomyosis, inducing tissue necrosis. Radiofrequency ovarian drilling is currently being developed for the treatment of PCOS. High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) are used to treat myoma , adenomyosis and deep endometriosis with digestive nods. Sclerotherapy: puncture, lavage and alcoholization of endometriomas, is taking over from traditional cystectomy. These various minimally invasive techniques are becoming more and more developed, allowing optimal treatment of these benign pathologies, while preserving fertility and minimizing surgical risk.
