Abstract
At a time when patients are increasingly turning to the Internet to obtain medical information and reviews on surgeons, proactive management of E-reputation has become an indispensable necessity for all private practitioners and hospitals.

Medical E-reputation does not claim to be a faithful reflection of reality. It is based exclusively on the aggregation of numerous positive or negative perceptions on the Internet, from a variety of different vectors and sources. All online information therefore contributes to shaping the digital reputation of the surgeon and his practice.
Medical E-reputation management requires behavioral adjustments, but how can online visibility be combined with ethics and deontology on the web?
