Abstract

The recent military operations carried out in 2017 by the French army required the use of the “life-saving surgical unit” to ensure, as close as possible to the battlefield, surgical support of its forces and that of allied partner forces.
The aim of this retrospective study was to analyze the surgical activity carried out during these operations in order to evaluate the adaptability of this forward surgical unit and to discuss about the training methods of its personnel.
