ELSAN, acteur de référence de la santé en France, possède une ambition forte : offrir à chaque Français, où qu’il se trouve sur le territoire, des soins de qualité, innovants et humains. Pour cela, nous n’avons de cesse de développer l’excellence médicale et d’en faire bénéficier chaque patient. La recherche clinique s’inscrit tout naturellement dans cette stratégie. Son développement constitue un axe prioritaire pour ELSAN. En participant à la recherche clinique, ces praticiens se trouvent dans un état d’esprit particulier : dans une démarche de questionnement, d’acquisition de nouvelles connaissances et d’amélioration continue de leurs pratiques. Ils aspirent ainsi à améliorer le service médical rendu au patient. ELSAN est fort d’un réseau de 140 établissements de santé sur toute la France, avec 7 500 médecins qui traitent avec nos 28 000 collaborateurs chaque année plus de 4,2 millions de patients. Ce réseau et les potentielles cohortes de patients traités dans nos établissements représentent un atout considérable pour développer une recherche clinique multicentrique puissante, comparable aux plus grands centres français ou européens. Les cellules régionales de recherche clinique que nous développons doivent nous permettre de tirer le plein potentiel de ce réseau. Elles nous permettent également d’encourager les médecins exerçant dans le groupe à participer à des activités de recherche et accueillir les nouveaux médecins qui nous rejoignent en souhaitant continuer à réaliser des travaux de recherche. La recherche est donc pour nous un pilier fondamental de la qualité des soins au service des patients aujourd’hui, mais aussi le ferment de l’excellence médicale dans la durée.

To do this, we have never ceased to develop medical excellence and to ensure that each patient benefits from it. Clinical research is a natural part of this strategy. Its development is a priority for ELSAN. By participating in clinical research, these practitioners find themselves in a particular state of mind: in a process of questioning, acquiring new knowledge and continuously improving their practices. They thus aspire to improve the medical service rendered to the patient. ELSAN is strong with a network of 140 health establishments throughout France, with 7,500 doctors who work with our 28,000 employees each year for more than 4.2 million patients. This network and the potential cohorts of patients treated in our establishments represent a considerable asset for developing powerful multi-centered clinical research, comparable to the largest French or European centers. The regional clinical research cells that we are developing should allow us to draw the full potential of this network. They also enable us to encourage the doctors practicing in the group to take part in research activities and to welcome new doctors who join us wishing to continue carrying out research work. Research is therefore for us a fundamental pillar of the quality of care at the service of patients today, but also the ferment of medical excellence over time.
