Abstract

Introduction Robotic surgery improves the ergonomics of the surgeon because he works seated.
The advantages of this new technology This new technology has many benefits: physical comfort for the surgical team, visual comfort thanks to the stability of the image which is in 3D, auditory comfort with more silence in the room, disappearance of tremors, precision thanks to 3D vision and the poly-articulation of the instruments. Literature data All studies prove that muscle stress is less with the robot assistance. There is no comparative study between so-called closed and so-called open systems. MSD Prevention in Robotic Surgery You have to make a precise adjustment of the console, know how to take breaks during long procedures, learn to operate while being relaxed and finally, have an awareness of ergonomics. Conclusion Robotic surgery is a favorable tool for the prevention of MSDs. Misuse can displace constraints rather than remove them.
