Abstract
Cataract surgery has become a highly standardized and reproducible procedure that can now be performed safely and comfortably without anesthetic supervision or physiological monitoring, while maintaining levels of patient safety and comfort comparable to those achieved in a conventional operating room setting with monitoring and intravenous sedation. The experience of the Centre-Val de Loire region is presented, particularly at the Tours University Hospital, where anesthetic resources have remained severely limited since the post-COVID period.
