Abstract

Professor Jérémy Magalon will address, in this presentation, the possibilities available to plastic surgeons for performing point-of-care regenerative medicine procedures in their daily practice. Point-of-care regenerative medicine involves using the patient’s own cells and tissues to prepare, in a single operative session, a product with regenerative properties, using medical devices specifically designed for this purpose.
He will review the commonly used products, ranging from platelet-rich plasma to nanofat, including lipofilling, and will highlight the significant heterogeneity of biological products that can be obtained depending on the preparation method.
The presentation will conclude with a discussion on the possibility of performing these procedures within an office surgery setting.
