Abstract

FineHeart is developing FlowMaker®, a mechanical circulatory support technology designed for the treatment of severe heart failure. This device is made fully implantable through the use of an innovative transcutaneous energy transfer system. The tools and minimally invasive beating-heart implantation procedure have demonstrated their effectiveness in humans. In 2025, FineHeart was selected under the IPCEI-Health Tech4Cure program by France and the European Commission to co-develop a cluster of active implantable medical devices focused on reliability management. This project is supported by France 2030. FineHeart brings together a consortium of over 20 partners to co-develop an open platform for managing health data capable of meeting the expectations of 5P-medicine (predictive, preventive, personalized, participatory, and proof-based). Indeed, FineHeart unites around this project all stakeholders involved in the healthcare pathway of patients suffering from chronic heart failure (emergency management, medical decision support, portable imaging, surgical planning, remote monitoring, Point of Care, usability support and staff training, secondary use of health data, medico-socio-economic analyses, interoperability and cybersecurity in the exchange and storage of sensitive data, standardization issues, etc.).
