Abstract
In recent decades, the State's involvement in the regulation, organization, and modernization of our healthcare system has strengthened. The State has strived to guarantee universal access to care, develop prevention policies, improve the organization of care, and promote the digital modernization of the healthcare sector.
However, the current situation of our healthcare system shows that this nationalization and, more broadly, the resulting governance, have not enabled the transformation necessary to adapt the system to the new environment. It is therefore imperative to rethink this governance in order to correct existing flaws and address current and future healthcare challenges.
It is through an overhaul of governance that we will restore the State's role as strategist and regulator, while further involving the system's stakeholders, through a public service delegation, and offering them greater accountability in its overall functioning, through a renewed and effective healthcare and social democracy.
