Abstract

Experience report at the end of a rich military-medical mission of the Army Health Service, OPEX, two months, to Tchad , N'Djamena in 2022.

The main mission was the care of the war wounded of the French forces and their allies, with a good share for Medical Assistance to the Population (AMP).

This surgical humanitarian gesture is particularly appreciated by the population, in addition to the benefit of the gesture with poor patients, it helps to accept the presence of French forces in the country.

The authors discuss in the second part the reasons for a certain disaffection with France in French-speaking Africa. They are trying to understand the imperative requests made by several French-speaking African countries for the French military forces to leave their respective territories, including very recently Tchad at the end of January 2025.
