Abstract
Recent advancements in minimally invasive procedures are reshaping surgical practices in vascular surgery on a global scale. Endovascular angioplasty and stenting play a pivotal role in enhancing recovery and minimizing complications compared to traditional surgical approaches. Patients report significantly shorter downtime, enabling a quicker return to daily activities than with open surgery. In addition, robotic-assisted surgery allows for unparalleled precision, thereby reducing tissue trauma during operations. These innovations not only lead to improved patient outcomes but also contribute to the overall reduction of healthcare costs. Each technological breakthrough further enhances the management of vascular diseases, particularly in cases necessitating endovascular percutaneous interventions. However open surgery remains in many vascular indications, the gold standard. In that regard, the youngest generations will have to continue to practice them assiduously in order to have in their hands a complete therapeutic range to deal with all pathological situations including the most complex of them.
