Indications for liver transplantation (LT) in France

Abstract
LT is the best treatment of cirrhosis (end-stage liver failure or life threatening complications). It is also indicated in many liver diseases, but the limit is the availability of grafts. Indications, which are evolving with scientific advances, are regularly reappraised (consensus conferences). We will discuss indications that are declining (viruses), those that are increasing or changing (HCC, NASH) and some that are emerging (HAA, metastases).
