Abstract

Access to innovations, validation of new procedures or new devices, is much too slow in France. Nevertheless, creation of the “Haut Conseil de la Nomenclature” in 2021 and new processes for clinical trials as Real World Datas, synthetic and even artificial datas should permit ameliorations. Registers are faster, less expensive and more accurate than prospective randomized trials. More, they give a benchmark of practice. Clinical research, even for registers, require expertise for construction or analysis of the studies; nowadays, less than 10% of French surgeons have expertise. The feeding of clinical research by surgeon’s practice will allow serious and quicker assessment for new procedures and devices.
