Organizing FIGO world meeting in Paris in october 2023

Abstract
The World Congress of the International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics (FIGO) was held in Paris from October 9 to 12, 2023.
The missions of FIGO, which brings together 135 national learned societies of obstetrics anf gynecology on five continents, will be presented. FIGO has four pillars (education, research, advocacy and capacity building) and 17 commissions, all dedicated to women's health.
This will be followed by a detailed description of :
- The selection process
- Congress preparation
- The congress sessions
In terms of results, the congress was a success, with 8,000 registrants from 75 different countries, a fellowship program enabling young foreign gynecologists to spend 3 days in French departments, a special day for residents with a surgical workhop and an ultrasound masterclass.
A legacy project raised funds for migrant women and endometriosis research.
