Abstract

LUCA ™Acusurgical® robot is telemanipulated, has 2 robotic arms, the surgeon works at a piloting station , the robot allows to perform a full vitreoretinal surgery and has a precision of 10 microns .
We perform a prospective, non controlled, feasibility, safety&efficacy clinical study of the LUCA ™Acusurgical® Surgical robot for treatment of vitreoretinal diseases .
7 patients with macular pathology will be included, for this first in human study, only a core vitrectomy is performed with the robot.

The first 5 patients included didn’t present a per or postoperative complication, and the surgeon reported an increased ergonomy.
