Abstract
Continent urinary diversion is a therapeutic alternative in the management of neurological bladders. We describe here the continent urinary diversion technique according to Benchekroun - Meziane which has been slightly modified and approved by our health department.
The results of a series of 26 patients operated on using this technique are then presented, followed by a film.
However, the success of this type of surgery is part of expert multidisciplinary care: urologist, rehabilitator, stoma therapist, occupational therapist... but also prolonged pre and post operative care to best pose the operative indication and thus avoid secondary complications.
