Abstract
The evolution of oncological treatments and recent technical and conceptual surgical advances have radically changed the management of patients with metastatic colorectal cancer to the liver. Indications are expanding with the possibility of transplanting certain highly selected patients; debulking surgery needs to be evaluated. The impact of surgery can be further minimized with the shortened reverse strategy for patients with synchronous metastases. Patient selection and prognostication can be personalized through the analysis of circulating tumor DNA.
