Legal Commission of the French Society of Hand Surgery (SFCM): A professional useful tool

Abstract
In December 2021, the French Society of Hand Surgery created a Legal Commission within its structure and according to its statutes.
Its purpose is to deal with questions of a legal nature that arise for hand surgery and hand surgeons without, however, playing a role of legal advice for the Company or the surgeons.
The purpose of this presentation as President of this Commission is to demonstrate its interest for a scientific Society through the work it has been carrying out for 2 years and how it meets its objectives:
- Meet and work with experts concerned with hand surgery. And develop the practice of medical expertise.
- Identify the legal difficulties posed by new surgical practices.
- Identify the risks and know the state of losses in our specialty.
- Play an educational role by taking part in the various events organized by the Company
-Prepare future surgeons for their professional life and more particularly for legal challenges.
