Abstract
Lipofilling, a versatile procedure in aesthetics and reconstruction, is used in various disciplines for its volumetric purpose but also for the regenerative and biomodulatory activity given by stem cells. In orthopedics, lipofilling can be an aid in the management of osteoarthritis and bone defects. In hand surgery, to correct scar adhesions or in Dupuytren helping to restore functionality. In gynecology, lipofilling is used for vaginal reconstruction, vaginal dryness and urinary incontinence. In maxillofacial surgery, it helps improve symmetry and restore the natural contours of the face. In pediatric surgery, to correct congenital defects. Additional applications include its use in vascular surgery for the management of chronic wounds, in senology for breast reconstruction and in neurosurgery for peripheral neuropathies. The versatility of lipofilling extends across several specialties, offering aesthetic and functional solutions.
