Abstract
Reconstruction of the nose is difficult, but very important: esthetic, functional.
Vascularization of the nose depends of two axis. There are five periods for reconstruction of the nose: India, Italy, Great Britain, Germany, France.
Cancer of the nose are reconstructed with local flaps (500 cases).
Destruction of the nose necessitate prefabricated vascularized transplant (12cases).
Results: some reoperations were needed. Surveillance is more than 5 years.
Conclusions:
Local flaps give excellent results (morphology, color). Prefabricated transplants are needed if traumatic lesions, tumoral, malformative lesions.
