Abstract
Unexpected discovery of an adrenal mass is nowadays a frequent situation because of the expansion of the indications of the abdominal CT-scan and MRI. However, many suprarenal retroperitoneal masses are not adrenal gland tumors. Pulmonary sequestration, which is an accessory lung sometimes situated within the retroperitoneum, is one of the differential diagnoses of adrenal incidentaloma. Here, we report the case of a 36 years old patient initially diagnosed with a non-secreting adrenal tumor. The mass was discovered intraoperatively independent from the adrenal gland, and histological analysis found a pulmonary sequestration associated with a cystic adenoid malformation.
