Abstract

Ambulatory surgery has become a major issue in the management of patients including oncology. It imposes constraints for teams that should result in benefits for patients with a standardization of circuits. France has fallen behind in this area. Gynecological surgery, which is more and more minimally invasive, is an important target. It is necessary as for other specialties to set up an organization dedicated to expanding the indications. For breast cancer surgery, the circuits are well defined and the goal is to quickly increase share of ambulatory management. Through the example of a study that will begin in endometrial cancer (PRME Ambu-Endo, funding INCA 2016), we show that the development of ambulatory surgery in gynecologic oncology is possible, even in patients with co-morbidities.
