Partnership with Medical Universities in Chada and Mauritania

Abstract
Chada and Mauritania are countries with a very low medical density: 0,04 medical doctors for 1000 inhabitants in Chada and 0,10 in Mauritania.This has to be compared to Cuba and Greece who have a ratio over 6.Chada is a non- denominational Republic. Life expectancy is under 50 years.Medical faculties have an important role to reduce the domination of what are called Tradipraticians. Two medical faculties are open in N’DJamena .One is public since 1993 the other one is private open in 2005. Alongside the Chari river they are a Medical faculty an Hospital and a nurses and midwifes schools.Father Angelo Gherardi has been the founder and Professor Pierre Farah act as a Dean.Teaching programes are similar to those of European French speaking faculties. The majority of teachers are coming from Europe.Mauritania is a muslin republic. Life expectancy is 60 years. A new and oversized medical Faculty open his door last year. Teaching is given in French. Some courses are given by European teachers.No doubt that at present time insecurity curb partnership between Europe and Africa.
