Do education & trainee to cœlio surgery have a place in humanitarian medicine? About two experiences in Mali & Madagascar
Seance of wednesday 27 february 2013 (MISSIONS HUMANITAIRES ET FORMATION DES CHIRURGIENS)
Abstract
Coelio surgery is still subject to controversy in the humanitarian medicine field. Nevertheless, all surgeons, whatever they are, wish to use the most up to date technical skills. To do so, a local training through mentoring is required. This is the aim of “Chirurgie Solidaire” with two successful examples: Hospital of point G (Bamako, Mali) & Hospital of Andranomadio (Antsirabé, Madagascar).
