Abstract

Obstetric fistula is a frequent and highly serious accident which impact African society, mutilate woman and kill her baby. Prevention campaigns have a low efficacy due to rural way of life, poverty and lack of education. Surgical cure allow a 75% rate of recovery. A complex fistula need to be to be operate by a skill and well trained surgeon to have a chance of recovery. Surgeon training has a lack of organization and is mainly done by personal learning. To take charge of Obstetric fistula need to be consider as an all from the woman search in their village to her reintegration in normal life after recovery.
