Abstract
The aim of this work is to evaluate our personal series of robot assisted thyroidectomy with an axillary way. The feasibility of this way and the selection are analyzed. We retrospectively studied the benefits of this technique.Between 2010 and 2012, we have operated 88 patients with this technique. There were 46 partial thyroidectomies and 42 cases of total thyroidectomies. Every patient received echography, cytology, biologic samples, and preoperative cytology. For these patients, indications, hospitalization, complications were studied. In conclusion, thyroid robot assisted seems to be achieved by axillary way. This technique necessitates to be compared with the classical operations.
