Abstract
Appendectomy is a rather often performed operation in France, as it is the 15th one in annual frequency. The strategy leading to this intervention has changed. Studying territorial disparities related to the use of this operation provides issues as far as the relevance of some acts is concerned. So is the search for associated explanatory factors.
