Abstract
For a long time, cooperation has largely contributed to the medicaltraining within the different french-speaking countries overseas. Inspite of its progressive disengagement due to the independence ofthose countries, the tight links still existing with some countrieslead to a new mode of technical collaboration where visioconferencecan be used. From a mission of assessment carried out in May2005 at the Main Hospital in Dakar, the authors analyse the differentapplications possible for this original and interactive mode ofsupport to teaching at a distance. Its extension to field military hospitalas part of operational or humanitarian missions is also evoked.
