Abstract

The overactive bladder syndrome is a frequent medical problem andone difficult to treat. The first symptoms are increased frequency,nocturia and urgency. In severe cases, urinary incontinence mayoccur, even if the urinary sphincter works perfectly well. Sacralneuromodulation has become an established method for treatingthese patients. In France, its medical and economic impact is understudy. In this article, we present the most recent technical evolutionsand we review the main results in the medical literature.
