            Abstract

Most aneurysms of hand arteries are traumatic. It is a rare pathology, generally unrecognized, with serious complications (emboliand thromboses of interdigital arteries). Two main causes are to be remembered :- acute trauma, with development of a false aneurysm ;- frequent microtrauma (hand hammer syndrome), with occurrenceof an arterial dysplasic aneurysm. The diagnosis is based on the presence of a pulsatile mass, withfinger dysesthesia, unilateral Raynaud’s phenomenon. It is confirmed by Echo Doppler. Arteriography is necessary butcould be replaced by an angioMR.The authors report 5 cases of such aneurisms. They describe thispathology and try to precise the therapeutic modalities.
