Abstract

The Blood Brain Barrier impeach drug penetration in the brain parenchyma. Pulsed ultrasound represents a recent major hope (since 2014) in clinical neurosciences because they can transiently open the blood brain barrier without toxicity. Actually, in clinical trials on recurrent glioblastomas in Canada (with an external ultrasound device) and in France (with an implanted ultrasound device), futures indications may concern multiple other neurological diseases including neurodegenerative ones.
